Reporting on Messages
We all love data, and it's important to keep an eye on how your messages are performing, so we've created a quick report you can download to get some essential stats on your emails. 🎉
You can find a link to download stats for a specific email at the bottom of that email page. This is currently only available for email messages.
Why don't the totals add up?
The stats for clicks and opens are how many unique people clicked on those links.
So if 3 people click on an email on Monday, and 2 of those same people click again on Tuesday, you will see 3 clicks on Monday, and 2 on Tuesday, but the total will be 3, because that's the number of unique people that clicked on the email (rather than the number of clicks).
You can also use this data to figure out when the manual message was sent. Often organisations want to report on their successes and improvements from the year's campaigns and finding the information you need from earlier in the year can be tricky. You can do this through some more advanced range settings.
Advanced: Different Ranges
By default the report is for the last 1 week. While we don't officially support other ranges yet, you can get them by changing the URL.
- Right click on the button, and choose Copy Link
- Paste the link into your browser, and add to the end of it &from=2018-10-23 to get a report that starts on the 23rd of October, 2018.
You can also specify
&to=2018-10-31 to set the end date of the report (by default it's the current time).
If you set the range to less than 2 days, then your report will be hourly instead of daily.
