Migrating to Raisely Version 3 (from Version 2)

Raisely Version 3 has been available since April 2019, offering a much broader set of features to enable better campaign development. Raisely Version 2 will be depreciated in early 2023, in order for Raisely to continue evolving as a leading fundraising platform. This support guide is there to help you migrate your Version 2 Campaigns to Version 3, and enhance your campaigns through an easier workflow with Version 3.

Do I Need To Migrate To Version 3?

Raisely will be depreciating Version 2 early 2023, which will remove the ability to manage or make edits to Version 2 campaigns. If you have Version 2 Campaigns in your account, Raisely will reach out via email to notify you of the change. Otherwise, you can check the version from the campaigns sidebar.

You will most likely fall into one of three groups, which will guide whether you need to migrate. Note, LIVE campaigns are those that accept live payments. These include:

– Have LIVE Raisely Version 2 campaign/s that have not received any public donations over the past 3 months, and are not actively promoted.

– Have  LIVE (Active or Archived) Raisely Version 2 campaign/s that continue to manage regular donations

– Have  LIVE Raisely Version 2 campaign/s that you actively use

Note: if you have Version 2 Campaigns that are still in TEST mode, then it is a good idea to Archive these campaigns. Refer below to see how.

What Happens To Our Data

The migration from Version 2 to Version 3 will not affect the data captured within your Version 2 campaigns. Data will still be accessible through reporting, including all donations, all profiles, etc. Since Version 2 campaigns will simply be archived, your records will still exist. Access to your website's content  will not be available after migration or when Version 2 is deprecated.

Can We Move Regular Givers

When Version 2 is deprecated, ongoing management or editing of all Version 2 campaigns will be inhibited. This will affect how you manage regular givers, as they will no longer be able to access their account settings, nor will you be able to make changes. To continue processing and managing regular giving transactions, you will need to migrate your live campaigns to Version 3.

To help with the transfer, you can follow the guide below. Raisely's support team will help you with the process, making this simpler for you.

Migration Walkthroughs

As mentioned above, you will likely fall into one of three groups. For each case, see the guide below that is relevant for you:

Archiving a version 2 campaign (used for LIVE campaign/s with no donations over the past 6 months)

1
Remove any custom domains (only applicable if you have a custom domain for that campaign).
Within your campaign, from the sidebar select Settings > Domains. If you have a primary domain other than ...raisely.com or ...raiselysite.com then select the Trash icon to confirm the domains removal
2
Archive Version 2 Campaign
Login to your Raisely account and select Campaigns from the sidebar. Look for your Version 2 campaign/s and select the horizontal ellipse then Archive. A popup will appear asking you to confirm the archive, where you can select Archive to confirm.
