Forms: Common Custom Field Use Cases
When developing your campaigns Signup, Donation, or Ticketing Forms, creating and enabling the right custom field to appear will be crucial. Below are some common use cases, helping you learn the best way to create the form you need.

# Adding Terms & Conditions Field
Terms & Conditions fields are often used in Sign Up & Donation Forms. They commonly have two steps, where the user can read a short statement regarding T&C's with an option hyperlink out to another page/document, AND an opt-in checkbox stating they agree. Here is the simplest way to setup this these fields:

- From the Organisation sidebar, select Settings > Custom Fields

- Either select the Donation tab (to add T&C's for Donation Form) or Person tab (to add T&C's for Sign Up Form)

- Scroll & select Add New
- 4
- Enter Name (eg. Terms & Conditions) and select Checkbox for Type. Select Save.

Open up your relevant campaign, and from the sidebar select
Settings > Donation Form OR
Signup Form. Within the field settings, select

- Search for the Terms & Conditions field you have created and select. Switch 'Required' On.

Within the 'Label' field, enter the question you want the donor or fundraiser to agree too. A common examples is:
By selecting you agree to the Terms & Conditions outlined in our policy documents. - 8

Best practise is to add a hyperlink in the label that points to a webpage or PDF document. To do this, you will need to add a simple HTML snippet to the label. Here is an example:
By selecting you agree to the <a href="example.com/terms-conditions"> Terms & Conditions </a> outlined in our policy documents.Do note, in the example above, place your URL/web address within the " ". This short snippet of HTML turns the text with in the <a> </a> to a hyperlink.

- If you wish to add further text, you can use the Help Text field to add a further description. Note that the hyperlink function also works within the Help Text.

- Select Save and your form will now contain the Terms & Conditions field.

# Add Profile Fundraising Goal Field
