Communicating via SMS (text-message) can be a really effective means of helping supporters take their next step with your campaign. Whether it be updates through a Giving Day, or a 'refer a friend' encouragement for your Peer to Peer, the good chance of them being seen is worth effort. Raisely Pro Feature - Setting Up SMS (Text Message)

Within Messages (sidebar), select Create Message (top-right)

You can copy from a previous message created or create a blank message

Select Triggered if the email is sent because of a users-action (eg. Form submission), or Manual if you will trigger it

Under Send by select SMS, add to a Journey if needed, and enter a Message Name

Select Continue

Completing the steps in the SMS is much like setting up an email. Here are the steps...

Choose your Audience and apply Filters if needed

For a triggered SMS, select your Trigger from the drop down and its Timing

Add your  Content. Be aware that each message has a limit of 160 characters before splitting the SMS into a segment.

Either Enable your SMS (if triggered) or Send/Schedule (if manual)

SMS Pricing & Availability

All SMS messages are charged at a rate of $0.06 USD/message. All messages have a 160-character limit, so if your text has 170 characters it will be sent as two messages (segments). 

SMS messages are currently only available for the following countries:

  • UK
  • Canada
  • Australia
  • Ireland

For use in the United States and New Zealand, Raisely can enable integration with Twilio. Please reach out to support@raisely.com if required.
