Raisely & Accessibility Standards

For Raisely, accessibility has been a key focus since our last major version update in 2019. While we have not yet conducted a formal audit to confirm compliance with the WCAG AA accessibility standard, achieving this goal remains a priority for us.

Raisely Admin Panel

The Raisely admin panel, used by customers, is designed with accessibility in mind. We have incorporated components and packages that prioritise accessibility, and our latest development work continues to enhance this focus. Specifically, our admin panel adheres to WCAG AA standards for colour and text contrast and is generally navigable via keyboard, though it has not been comprehensively tested.

To help organisations build accessible websites through the admin panel, we provide several tools:

1
Colour Contrast Warnings: When setting up colour schemes, we alert users if the contrast is insufficient and offer suggestions to improve it.
2
Alt Text for Images: We encourage the use of alt text for all images, allowing users to add textual descriptions for better accessibility.

Front-End Components

Similar to the admin panel, our front-end components in React are developed with accessibility best practices in mind. While we haven't formally audited our front-end against WCAG standards, we have tested key components, such as the donation form, to ensure they are keyboard navigable.

Feedback and Continuous Improvement

We are committed to moving towards full compliance with the WCAG AA standard. We welcome and encourage organisations to test Raisely for accessibility and provide feedback. Our responsiveness to feedback ensures continuous improvement.

For example, one customer noted that Raisely was the most accessible fundraising platform they tested, while another provided minor adjustments which we have already implemented.

Accessibility Standards

Globally, the WCAG AA standard is widely accepted, especially in commercial contexts. While the stricter AAA standard is often required for government websites, achieving AA compliance is our current goal and is generally considered sufficient for most users.

We appreciate any further tests and feedback to help us improve Raisely's accessibility. Thank you for supporting our mission to create an inclusive platform for all users.
