Plan First: Key Decisions to Make
Before you start building, align on these essentials so your Giving Tuesday campaign stays focused and measurable.
Campaign type: Will this be standalone or integrated with an existing program (e.g. Regular Giving, EOFY)? Note any links and dependencies.
Goals & success metrics: Set a clear fundraising target, plus engagement goals (e.g. number of donors, new regular givers). Confirm how you’ll measure each.
Primary audience: Are visitors mostly existing supporters or new to your cause? Let this guide your page content, UX, and asks.
Partnerships & match giving: Will you seek a match or a corporate partner? Consider their audiences and how they’ll be activated.
Messaging focus: Keep it simple. Define the one-sentence offer and the core story for homepage and emails.
Assets checklist: Confirm brand elements (logos, colours, typography) and image/video assets needed for the page and comms.
Channels & promo plan: Decide which channels (social, email, etc.) will drive traffic. If social carries the explanation, your page can stay leaner.
Ownership & timing: Who is responsible for each task, and what are the key dates (pre-launch, day-of, follow-up)?
