Sharing Your Contact Information

๐Ÿš€ Don't Lose Donors! Simple Ways to Share Your Contact Information

Making your organisation's contact details easy to find is the single most effective way to provide excellent support to your donors and fundraisers. When they know who to contact, issues are resolved faster, leading to a better experience and more repeat donations!

Here is how you can set up best-practice contact links on your Raisely campaign site today.

1. Create a Clear 'Contact Us' Destination

The first step is ensuring a contact point is visible on every page of your fundraising site.

 • Dedicated Page: Create a specific page on your Raisely campaign called "Contact Us" or "Support." This page should list your support email and phone number clearly.
 • Navigation & Footer: Add a link to your "Contact Us" page in your website's main navigation menu or, at minimum, in the site-wide footer.

2. Best Practice Links for Instant Contact

Don't just list your email and phone numberโ€”make them clickable! Using special link formats ensures that when a supporter clicks, the corresponding app opens immediately.

๐Ÿ“ง The 'Click-to-Email' Link (Recommended)

When a donor clicks this link, their default email program (like Outlook, Gmail, or Apple Mail) will open a new message with your support address pre-filled.

How to set it up:

Instead of a regular link, use the mailto: prefix. You can use the following as a link in a Button block or hyperlink in a Paragraph block

mailto:youremail@org.com

๐Ÿ“ฑ The 'Click-to-Call' Link

When a supporter clicks this link on a mobile device, their native phone application will open, ready to dial your number.

How to set it up:

Use the tel: prefix. You can format the phone number visually for readability, but the link must contain the international format.

tel://+XXXXXXXXXX/

3. Don't Forget the Receipt!

A donor's receipt is one of the most important documents you send. It is often the first place they look when they have a question about their donation amount or tax information.

 • Action: Ensure your organisation's direct support email and phone number are clearly visible on the PDF donation receipt that is sent via Raisely.
 • Why: If they need to query a charge, they can contact you immediately.

4. Crucial Tip: Monitor Your Inbox!

Having clear contact details only works if someone is on the other end.

 • Commit to Monitoring: Designate a team member to monitor the support inbox and phone line daily during business hours.
 • Respond Promptly: Aim to acknowledge and resolve donor/fundraiser queries as quickly as possible. Timely support prevents minor issues from turning into negative feedback.

By following these simple steps, you empower your donors and fundraisers to get the immediate help they need directly from your organisation!
