Overview
Raisely is updating how organization users sign in and manage account security. This article explains what is changing, who is affected, what you’ll see during the transition, and how to resolve common login or account access issues.
A Velora User Account controls how you sign in. Your Raisely account controls what you can access inside Raisely.
Who this affects
Unified Login affects Raisely organization users.
Included
You are included in this change if you use Raisely to manage an organization, such as:
| User type | Included in Unified Login? |
|---|---|
| Organization administrators | Yes |
| Team members | Yes |
| Users who access the Raisely admin panel | Yes |
Not included
This change does not apply to people who interact with fundraising campaigns but do not access the Raisely admin panel.
| User type | Included in Unified Login? |
|---|---|
| Donors | No |
| Fundraisers | No |
| Campaign participants | No |
| Campaign profile owners | No |
Donors, fundraisers, and campaign participants will continue using the existing campaign login experience. Donation flows, fundraising pages, and campaign profiles are not changing as part of this update.
What to expect
Before the change
You may currently sign in using Raisely-specific login pages and account settings.
If your organization uses SAML SSO, your sign-in experience may also depend on your organization’s identity provider.
During the change
You may notice:
- A new login page
- Velora branding during sign-in
- Redirects to
auth.joinvelora.com - A new password reset experience
- New or updated MFA prompts
- A shared account management experience
auth.joinvelora.comis the official Velora authentication domain. You may be redirected there when signing in, resetting your password, setting up MFA, verifying your email, or managing your account.
After the change
After Unified Login is enabled for your account:
- You’ll sign in through the shared Velora login experience.
- Your password will be managed through your Velora User Account.
- MFA will be required.
- If you use multiple Velora products, you may be able to move between products without signing in again, as long as you have access to each product.
- Your Raisely organization permissions and campaign setup will remain unchanged.
Signing in successfully does not automatically give you access to every Velora product. You still need a Raisely account and the right organization permissions to access Raisely.
Step-by-step instructions
Sign in to Raisely
- Go to your usual Raisely sign-in page.
- Enter your email address.
- If redirected to
auth.joinvelora.com, continue there. - Enter your password.
- Complete MFA if prompted.
- After successful sign-in, you’ll be taken back to Raisely.
Recommended screenshot: Add a screenshot of the new Velora login page showing the email and password fields, with the browser URL visible as auth.joinvelora.com.
Reset your password
Use this if your previous Raisely password no longer works or you are not sure which password to use.
- From the login page, select Forgot Password.
- Enter the email address you use for Raisely.
- Check your inbox for the password reset email.
- Follow the link in the email.
- Create a new password.
- Return to Raisely and sign in again.
If you use more than one Velora product, you may previously have had different passwords in different products. After this change, your Velora User Account uses one shared password for supported Velora login experiences.
Recommended screenshot: Add a screenshot of the Forgot Password link on the login page and a screenshot of the password reset confirmation page.
Set up multi-factor authentication
MFA adds an extra layer of protection to your account. After entering your password, you may be asked to verify your identity using an additional method.
- Sign in with your email address and password.
- When prompted, choose an available MFA method.
- Follow the on-screen setup instructions.
- Save any recovery codes if they are provided.
- Complete the verification step.
- Continue into Raisely.
Supported MFA methods may include:
- Authenticator app
- SMS
If you previously used an authenticator app for Raisely MFA, you may need to set it up again after the migration. SMS and email MFA settings are expected to continue working without action.
Recommended screenshot: Add screenshots showing the MFA method selection screen, the authenticator app setup screen, and the successful verification confirmation.
Accept a Raisely invitation
If someone invites you to a Raisely organization:
- Open the invitation email.
- Select the invitation link.
- Sign in with the email address where you received the invitation.
- If you already have a Velora User Account, use your existing login details.
- If you do not have a Velora User Account, follow the prompts to create one.
- Set up MFA if prompted.
- After accepting the invitation, you’ll be redirected into Raisely.
Make sure you accept the invitation using the same email address the invitation was sent to. If you are signed in with a different account, the invitation may not be accepted successfully.
Recommended screenshot: Add a screenshot of the invitation acceptance screen and the redirect into Raisely after acceptance.
Create a new Raisely account
If you are new to Raisely:
- Select Sign Up.
- Create your Velora User Account.
- Set up MFA when prompted.
- Verify your email address if required.
- Complete your profile details.
- Add your organization details.
- Select a campaign template.
- Add your campaign details.
- Continue into your new campaign.
If you leave before organization setup is complete, you may need to return and finish onboarding before you can access the rest of Raisely.
Recommended screenshot: Add screenshots of the sign-up page, MFA setup step, organization details step, and campaign template selection screen.
Sign in with SAML SSO
If your organization uses SAML SSO, your login may use an email-first flow:
- Go to Raisely and begin signing in.
- Enter your email address.
- Select Continue.
- If your organization uses SAML SSO, you’ll be redirected to your organization’s identity provider.
- Complete sign-in with your organization’s identity provider.
- After successful authentication, you’ll be returned to Raisely.
Organizations using SAML may need to update their configuration before the migration. In particular, the ACS URL changes, while Metadata URLs, Entity IDs, and certificates are not expected to change.
If your organization uses SAML SSO and you are responsible for identity provider configuration, make sure the new service provider configuration is completed before the change takes effect.
Recommended screenshot: Add a screenshot of the email-first SSO step and, where appropriate, the identity provider redirect.
Frequently asked questions
What is Unified Login?
Unified Login is a shared sign-in experience for Velora products. It centralizes login, passwords, MFA, email verification, account management, and SSO into one Velora User Account.
What is a Velora User Account?
A Velora User Account is your shared authentication account. It stores information such as your email address, password, MFA settings, email verification status, and security settings.
Is my Velora User Account the same as my Raisely account?
No. Your Velora User Account controls how you sign in. Your Raisely account controls what you can access inside Raisely.
For example, you may successfully sign in with your Velora User Account but still need a Raisely organization account or invitation before you can access Raisely.
Will my campaigns change?
No. Campaign functionality, fundraising pages, donation flows, campaign user experiences, organization permissions, integrations, and API access remain unchanged.
Will donors or fundraisers notice any changes?
No. Donors, fundraisers, campaign participants, and campaign profile owners are not included in this phase of Unified Login. They will continue using the existing campaign login experience.
Why am I seeing Velora branding?
Raisely is part of Velora. The new login experience uses Velora branding because authentication is now handled through a shared Velora login system.
Is auth.joinvelora.com legitimate?
Yes. auth.joinvelora.com is the official Velora authentication domain. You may see it during login, password resets, MFA setup, email verification, or account management.
Will I need to reset my password?
Not always. Many users can continue signing in with their existing credentials.
However, if you used different passwords across Velora products, only one shared password will work after migration. If you are unsure which password to use, select Forgot Password to create a new one.
If I change my password, does it affect other Velora products?
Yes. Once your password is updated through your Velora User Account, that password is used across Velora products that support Unified Login.
Is MFA required?
Yes. MFA is required for Raisely organization users after migration.
What happens to my existing MFA setup?
It depends on the MFA method:
| MFA method | What to expect |
|---|---|
| SMS | Phone numbers are expected to migrate. No action required. |
| Email MFA is expected to continue working. No action required. | |
| Authenticator app | You may need to set up your authenticator app again. |
What should I do if I lose access to my MFA device?
Use your recovery codes if you have them. If you do not have recovery codes or cannot complete MFA, contact support for help recovering access.
Will integrations be affected?
In general, no. Existing Raisely integrations are organization-based and are not impacted by Unified Login. Existing API-based integrations and campaign API keys are not expected to require reconnection.
I use SAML SSO. What changes?
Your organization’s SAML login experience should remain familiar, but the underlying configuration may need to be updated. The ACS URL changes, while Metadata URLs, Entity IDs, and certificates are not expected to change.
Will I be logged out of other products when I log out?
Logging out ends the shared authentication session. You may need to sign in again when accessing Raisely or other Velora products afterward.
Troubleshooting
I do not recognize the login page
You may be seeing the new Velora login experience. This is expected. Continue signing in with your Raisely email address.
If the page is hosted at auth.joinvelora.com, it is the official Velora authentication domain.
My password worked before, but it does not work now
This may happen if you previously used different passwords across Velora products.
Try the following:
- Confirm you are using the correct email address.
- Try the password you use for other Velora products, if applicable.
- Select Forgot Password.
- Create a new password.
- Sign in again.
Password reset should resolve most password-related issues.
I signed in but landed in Raisely onboarding instead of my existing account
This usually means your sign-in was successful, but Raisely does not recognize an existing Raisely account for that Velora User Account.
If you are new to Raisely, continue through onboarding to create your Raisely organization and account.
If you already have a Raisely account, contact support so they can help review your account access.
I accepted an invitation, but I was not added to the organization
Make sure you accepted the invitation using the same email address the invitation was sent to.
If you were already signed in with a different account, sign out, open the invitation again, and sign in using the invited email address.
My authenticator app is asking me to set up MFA again
If you previously used an authenticator app for Raisely, this may be expected. Authenticator app settings may need to be re-enrolled after migration.
Follow the on-screen steps to set up MFA again. Save any recovery codes provided.
I lost my MFA device
If you saved recovery codes, use one to regain access.
If you do not have recovery codes or cannot complete MFA, contact support for help.
My organization’s SAML SSO is not working
If your organization uses SAML SSO, your identity provider configuration may need to be updated.
Ask your organization’s SAML administrator to confirm:
- The new service provider configuration has been created.
- The new ACS URL has been configured.
- Your identity provider settings are correct.
If SAML login still does not work, contact support.
I am a donor or fundraiser and my campaign login looks different
Donors, fundraisers, campaign participants, and campaign profile owners are not included in this phase of Unified Login.
If your campaign login experience appears to have changed unexpectedly, contact support.
