New in April 2021

April was a big month of small updates for us, so there's something in here for everyone! Here's what's new in Raisely in April.

New features

  • 📧 Segment based on email activity
Organisations who use Raisely Supporter Management Tool are now able to segment based on email activity! That means you're able to see exactly who was sent a message, who opened it, and who clicked on it. You can combine that with other campaign metrics to build detailed segments and reports of your supporters.
  • 💸 Matched giving progress bars
You can now add a new block to your giving appeals – Matched Progress Bar. It'll show how far through the current matched giving period you are, so you can show your supporters how much funding they've unlocked!
  • 📋 Lead forms
You can now capture newsletter signups or expressions of interest for future campaigns via our Lead Form block. You'll find this in your block picker, it's a great way to build a basic form with entries automatically feeding into Raisely Supporter Management Tool with an interaction recording their submission, and if you like – a tag or two.
  • 📊 Step tracking on the signup form
We now automatically track the progress people make through the signup form and send that information to Google Analytics. Look for the signup-stage events here for more.

Updates

  • We've tweaked the Interactions section on each person. You'll now see more useful information there. Automatic things we record are under "History", and "Interactions" shows the custom ones (like notes or phone calls) that you leave.
  • Raisely's fraud protection has levelled up. We've released a beta version of a hidden captcha on donation forms. If you're finding your campaign is being affected by fraud, switch it on under Settings > Fraud Protection. We've found it to be incredibly effective so far.
  • We now allow signups while logged in, so if your supporters are returning after a year and have logged into your new 2021 campaign, they'll be prompted to sign up without having to log out and navigate back to the signup form. Happy supporters, happy you, happy us!
  • Triggering messages based on custom fields (like dates) is now possible in your organisation-wide automatic comms journeys, not just your campaign-based ones.
  • One for our friends over in the UK – it's now so much easier to set up Gift Aid on Raisely! Just head to Settings > Donation Form > Settings and toggle it on, then add a field to collect addresses.
  • The control panel on supporter dashboards is now more customisable, with language options for everything in the block.
  • You can set links to open in a new tab when adding your sponsors via our Logo block.
  • You can enable a cookie permission bar on your campaign, you'll find the toggle under Campaign Settings.
  • Private fields in the admin are easier to spot, they'll have a little 🔒 next to them.

Bug fixes

  • We fixed a bug that caused the iFrame for a donation form embed to be a smidge too short.
  • It's easier to click on the card inputs now in mobile Safari, the tapzones were a little small before.
  • Mobile background images are back! There was a bug that showed the desktop image on mobile, which we've squashed.
  • It's easier to set up blog post feeds based on tags, because we only allow public tags now.
  • Donors can't thank themselves for their donation anymore.
