FAQs

Customise your donation amounts

Donation Amounts are the preset options your donors see on your form when donating.

Steps:
  1. Within your campaign, from the sidebar select  Settings > Donation Form. The default tab is Amounts.
  2. Customise the Donation Frequencies you would like to offer. Add, delete, and reorder frequencies from here.
  3. Add, edit, or remove donation amounts available for each Donation Frequency in the Button Amounts section.
  4. Add new amounts with the 'Add Amount' button at the bottom right.

💡 To take it one step further, we recommend adding descriptions or titles to let donors know the impact of each amount and make it tangible for them.

Manage your Donation Form fields

You can add and remove fields on your donation form to customize the information you collect from donors.

Steps:
  1. Select the  Fields tab in Donation Settings to view the fields in your donation form.
  2. Add, edit, or delete fields here.

What customization options are there for these fields?

When you click to edit a field you have the ability to edit these things:

  1. Field - choose from a Custom Field that was created on an org level.
  2. Mark if a field is required or not.
  3. Label the field - this is what the donor will see whereas the Field Name is what will be pulled in your reports
  4. Set a default value - save your donor time by pre-filling fields for them. You can read more about pre-filling form fields here: Pre-fill form fields.
  5. Provide Help Text to clarify the purpose of the field if needed.
  6. Add conditions for whether or not the field is visible.

What is the difference between a Visible or Hidden field?

Visible fields are fields that will show on your Donation Form in the front end. Hidden fields are best used for internal admin purposes and won’t be visible in a user's profile.

Donation Form Settings

Under the Settings tab you'll find the ability to change the forms steps headings and setup the Thank You message pop-up (appears after payment is processed). Simply add the text you need to customise the donation experience and Save Changes. You also can preview your donation form by simply selecting Preview Donation Form.

You can also setup the Donation Form Modal (pop-up), giving you a flexible donation experience you can share with your donors. The modal is activated using the Donation Button in the page builder, where you can not only have the donation form appear but also a simple Campaign Preview outlining the cause and its funding progress.

Regular Giving Upsell

Enabling an Upsell opportunity can be a great way to convert those considering one-off donations to becoming regular givers. Raisely allows your donation form to have both a direct and/or a 'kind nudge' upsell option, making it easy for your donors to consider regular giving.

To enable this feature, simply:

  1. Select the Regular Giving Tab.
  2. You can then enable the Upsell to a monthly regular donation option with the switcher, and enter in your Heading and Upsell text. Save your changes once done.
  3. You can also enable the Regular giving nudge with the switcher.
