Using Filters in Reporting

Raisely’s report builder makes it simple and easy to pull across the different data fields you need for your report. But what if you need to make your report a little more sophisticated and customised? Here’s where Filters can really help. Let’s explore...

Skip Ahead To

Creating Filters

The report builder in Raisely structures its data in columns based on the data field you choose. Filters enable you to place this broad data through another lens in order to zoom further in. To add a new filter, within your Report Builder simply:
1
Select Filter from the columns heading
2
Select the condition you wish to use
3
Enter the value and select Tick to apply
4
Select Save Filter
Some fields will display the available values for that field, whilst others will ask you to enter the value.
Filter’s rely on conditional logic, a series of equations/rules that result in a logical answer. The basic flow is:
baseline + condition + value = result
The Baseline is a data field within Raisely you wish to pull from. The Condition is a clause such as equals, is, or greater than. And the Value is the data value you determine, such as a number, statement (true/false), or just text.
If you are unsure of what the value is referring to, explore The Data Fields Explained cheat sheet. Note: Filters are only available on the core fields for the Report Type. If you add a field from a different Type you will not be able to apply filters to it.

Add Multiple Filter Conditions

Filtering gives you the option to add multiple conditions or multiple values within a single condition. To apply multiple conditions:
Once your first condition is applied, hover over the condition to reveal + Icon. Select + to add a new condition

Edit / Clear Filters

When a data field has a filter applied, the filter icon is Blue and the cell is highlighted. To edit or clear the filter simply:
1
Select the blue Filter Icon
2
From the dropdown, select either Edit Filter or Remove Filter
