Audience and Instant Triggers

It is important to understand who the different audience segments target as that will affect the availability of filters, triggers and merge fields available. This section will cover the types of audience and instant triggers available in Raisely. We will discuss scheduled triggers in the next section.

Note: In order to view the filters, triggers and merge fields that are relevant to the audience selected, you'll need to save the changes in Step 1. Some filters are also made available once a specific trigger has been saved in Step 2

Scheduled Triggers

When setting up an automated message, you'll notice that there are two types of triggers: Instant or On a schedule. This section will further explain the use of the scheduled triggers, which is set up by selecting "On a Schedule" in Step 2. The messages will continue to be sent according to this schedule and is triggered when the event occurs for the first time (e.g. profile created, donation made etc,). So the message won't be sent to the same person twice, but will continue to be sent to others who fulfil the condition.

Manual Messages

When setting up a manual message the definitions of the different audience types are as stated above. This allows you to send a message to everyone in that particular audience at a specific date and time. You can also include additional filter conditions to be sure you're sending the message to the people who fulfil your conditions.

Example 1: Fundraiser Total Changed

In this example, we cover how to set up a message that is triggered when a Fundraiser's total amount raised crosses a certain value

Example 2: Scheduled Triggers

In this example, we cover how to set up a message with a scheduled trigger.

Example 3: Fundraiser makes first self donation | Fundraiser receives their first donation from the public

In this example, we cover how to set up two separate messages. The first is when the fundraiser makes their first self-donation and the second is when the fundraiser receives their first donation from the public.
