Adding New Team Members

As you create and manage your campaigns, you may be needing to delegate certain responsibilities to new team members. Raisely allows you to create new team members and assign specific permissions for each. To add a new team member, simply:

From the sidebar in the Campaigns view select Settings > Team
Under Add a Team Member, enter the new team members' details. You must enter a Preferred Name. When selecting Role, choose from any of the 5 standard roles, though you can manage permissions further after the account has been created
Select Send Invite. The new team member will receive an email inviting them to the team. If they do not have a Raisely account, they will be prompted to create one

Note: This is also the best approach when trying to update your own admin email address. Send an invite to the new email address, and remove access to the old email address if necessary.

Troubleshooting Errors

If you’re an Organisation Admin and see an error like "You are not authorised" when inviting a new team member with Campaign Admin permissions, it may be because that person already has access to another Raisely account. Ask them to switch to your Raisely account first before you assign permissions. This often happens when inviting Partners to your account.

Managing Permissions

Raisely gives you granular control over the permissions you give different administrators inside Raisely. You can set up individual accounts for everyone in your organisation, and make sure they only have access to the parts of Raisely they need.

Raisely has two types of roles – basic roles and advanced roles.

Basic roles are common settings you mind find useful for your campaign. Behind the scenes, they combine a handful of the advanced roles.

Advanced roles are our most granular permissions, so you can craft a unique role for each individual in your account based on what they need to be able to do.

To access a team members roles, simply:

From the sidebar, select Organisation > Team > Edit Roles icon next to their name.
To change their Basic Role, select from the dropdown menu under Change Role.
To change their role to an Advanced Role, turn on the Advanced switch next to Current Role, which will then give you a wider list of drop-down options under Change Role.

Below you can find a full explanation of each role type and how they relate to account permissions.

Basic Roles

Role Name	Description
Organisation Admin	Organisation admins are the highest-level admins for your Raisely account. They can do everything on any campaign, including managing your users and updating billing information.
Campaign Admin	Campaign admins can do pretty much everything inside a particular campaign. It's an administrator role for the specific campaign, covering all campaign settings, reporting, messages, website building and administration. Campaign admins cannot see people in your database including emails or phone numbers, manage other admins, or download bank payout reports.
People Admin	People admins can see and manage your Supporter Management Tool (People) inside Raisely, but don't have access to any fundraising campaigns. They can view, segment, tag, and edit people in your database. They can import and export people. People admins cannot manage other admins, see donations, or manage any campaign specific information.
Campaign Coordinator	Campaign coordinators can be assigned specific campaigns, and they have limited access to manage the campaign. They can: Update content Post blog posts Manage fundraisers and donations Create badges They cannot do things like: Update messages View people Manage other admins Manage campaign settings Run reports
Messages Editor	A messages editor can manage emails and SMS messages for the campaigns to which they are assigned. They can update existing messages, or create new ones. They can't do anything else.
Giving Coordinator	Giving Coordinators can do the following: Manage donations by resending receipts, refunding donations, etc. Manage Regular Giving Schedule by updating or cancelling ongoing Regular Donations, etc. Manage users by adding notes, changing user details, etc. Giving Coordinators cannot see the total amount raised for each campaign.

Note: Someone can only be assigned one basic role. If you need to be more granular, used advanced roles!

Advanced Roles

You can grant an administrator multiple advanced roles to control their access in a very granular way. Where those roles are campaign specific roles, they will apply to all of the campaigns they have access to. At the moment it isn't possible to assign different roles to different campaigns.

Manage Profiles	Access to the "Profiles" tab in a campaign and is able to view, update or archive fundraising profiles.	✅
Manage Donations	Access to the "Donations" tab in a campaign, and the ability to view donations under a fundraising profile. Can add offline donations, refund donations, move donations, and re-send receipts.	✅
Manage Tickets	Access to the Tickets tab in a campaign. Can view Ticket orders and attendees.	✅
Manage Regular Donations	Ability to update/pause/cancel any regular donations under an assigned campaign.	✅
Manage Pages	Access to edit page content and redirects. This doesn't grant permission for design/style settings.	✅
Edit HTML/CSS	Access to design settings like brand, fonts, buttons, etc and custom CSS styles for the assigned campaign.	✅
Manage Blog Posts	Ability to manage the campaign blog, and fundraisers' blog posts.	✅
Manage Users	Access to all of the people in your Raisely account, across all of your campaigns. Manage users gives the administrator permission to view private information on people, add tags, segment, add interactions, and export people.	❌
Manage Finance	Access to financial functions across Raisely, including donations, regular donations, bank payout reports, and billing for the account.	❌
Manage Messages	Access to manage all email and SMS messages in the assigned campaigns.	✅
Manage Campaign Settings	Ability to manage campaign settings such as apps, integrations, fraud protection, social media previews and form fields like the donation form and signup form.	✅
Organisation Report Viewer	Can download user reports and custom reports for your organisation.	❌
Campaign Report Viewer	Can download reports about profiles, donations and recurring donations.	✅
Bank Report Viewer	Can download Bank Payout Reports.	✅

Being a Member of Multiple Accounts

If a Raisely user is added to a second account, they then have the ability to Switch Organisation. This option is found on the sidebar when logged in, and allows a member to switch between multiple accounts of which they are members of. This is useful for Agencies or where you may have different accounts setup within the same organisation.

Note: This is contingent on the Raisely user having the same email address in both organisations.

Account Security & 2FA

It is recommended as good practise to enable 2FA (2-Factor Authentication) for each new member who is added to your team. This layer provides your account a greater level of protection from hackers and malicious attackers, especially relevant when working across multiple teams and people.

2FA can be via Text Message (SMS) or an Authenticator App such as Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.

To enable 2FA on an account:

From the sidebar select your Account Name, found bottom left of the screen
Under Two-factor Authentication, select either Authentication app or Text message
If Authentication app was selected, scan the QR code or enter code manually into your chosen Authenticator application. Once added to your App, select Next and Raisely will request you enter the Token found in the app

Important: Ensure you save your unique access code provided in the final step. If you ever need to reset your Authentication app, this code will be required.

If Text message was selected, enter mobile number and select Save Changes. You'll be asked to verify 2FA using the code send via SMS/text.

Admin Notifications

All important communication from Raisely will be sent to the Account Owner by default. This can include important information on your account or updates regarding the platform.
