We're upgrading the security of custom domains on Raisely by moving them to Cloudflare, a trusted service that helps protect websites against bots, hackers and spam. If your campaign uses a custom domain, you'll need to complete a short migration in Raisely and update two DNS records with your domain provider.
Migration is not automatic. If you use a custom domain, please complete the migration by 15 April 2027.

Who needs to take action?
- You use a custom domain (such as
www.example.org): follow the steps in this article. - You only use a raiselysite.com address: you don't need to do anything. Your
raiselysite.comaddress will keep working.
Before you start
- You'll need access to your domain's DNS settings, through the provider where you bought or manage your domain. If someone else manages your domain, such as your IT team or an agency, share this article with them along with the records shown in your Raisely campaign settings.
- You don't need a Cloudflare account.
- You don't need to transfer your domain or change its nameservers.
- Your website stays live on its current setup until you add the new records.
Using a bare domain such as example.org as your primary domain? Raisely won't offer migration while a bare domain is your campaign's primary domain. Change the primary domain to
www.example.orgfirst, then follow the steps below.
How to migrate your custom domain
Raisely will show an Update DNS for your custom domain notice in your campaign's custom-domain settings.
Steps:
- Within your campaign, open your custom-domain settings (Settings > Domains).
- Find the domain listed in the Update DNS for your custom domain notice.
- Select Start migration.
- Raisely will show two CNAME records. Add both records with your DNS provider and save them.
- Back in Raisely, select Check now.
- Wait for the domain to show as Verified domain. Your migration is now complete.
Not ready to finish? Select Finish later and come back to complete the process. Migration isn't complete until the domain shows as Verified domain.
DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to reach all visitors.
If you use both a bare domain and a www domain
For example, you use both example.org and www.example.org.
- Migrate
www.example.orgfirst. - Keep
example.orgon its current DNS setup for now. - Wait until Raisely confirms
www.example.orgis verified. - Then point or redirect
example.orgtowww.example.orgwith your domain provider.
Don't redirect your bare domain until your
wwwdomain is verified.
Domain status messages
- Complete Set-up: Raisely still needs to verify your DNS records.
- Try Again: verification failed. Check that both records match the values shown in Raisely, then try again.
- Verified domain: your migration is complete.
If you select Check now several times within 30 seconds, Raisely may ask you to wait before checking again.
Adding a new custom domain
Custom domains added from now on use the new setup automatically.
- Add your custom domain in Raisely (Settings > Domains).
- Raisely will show two CNAME records.
- Add both records with your DNS provider.
- Select Check now in Raisely.
- Wait for the domain to show as Verified domain.
If you enter a bare domain such as example.org, Raisely will create the www version (www.example.org). Redirect example.org to www.example.org with your domain provider.
FAQs
What is TLS?
TLS is the technology that encrypts the connection between a visitor's browser and your website. This update moves the TLS setup for Raisely custom domains to Cloudflare.
What happens if I don't migrate?
Your website will keep running on its existing setup, but it won't get the additional Cloudflare protections until you migrate. Please complete the migration by 15 April 2027.
Will this interrupt my campaign?
Your website stays live on its existing DNS setup until you add the new records. Follow the steps carefully, especially if you use both a bare domain and a www domain. If you're not sure which records to change, contact us before making the update.
Why can't Raisely do this for me?
DNS changes have to be made through your DNS provider. Raisely gives you the two records to add and checks them once you've saved them.
Why hasn't my domain verified yet?
DNS changes can take up to 24 hours. Check that both records exactly match the values shown in Raisely. If verification still fails after 24 hours, contact our Support team with your campaign URL, your custom domain and the status shown in Raisely.
