Aplos allows organisations to manage their Not For Profit finances, so we've created an easy to use integration that allows Raisely to send the transactional data across to Aplos, in real-time to help with your finances even further.
How the Raisely & Aplos integration fits within the full Velora integration experience
This integration facilitates the automatic flow of online fundraising data from Raisely into Aplos for accurate fund accounting. If you have a Keela account for contact management, but are managing all fundraising in Raisely, you don’t need to have the Keela-Aplos integration turned on. Your online transactions from Raisely flow directly into Aplos using the Raisely-Aplos integration and the transactions that flow from Raisely to Keela for supporter management will not be duplicately sent into Aplos.
Connecting your Aplos Account to Raisely
To get started, you need to firstly make sure that you have an Aplos account created. Visit Aplos' website and check out their Raisely-Aplos integration documentation for further information. All steps for the connection will be completed from within Aplos.
Once you've setup the initial connection from Aplos, you'll need to ensure you designate a Default Purpose and map your Raisely Designations to Aplos Purposes. This mapping and configuration is managed in Aplos (not in Raisely).
If your Raisely organisation does not yet have Designations enabled, connecting the integration will enable them automatically (Designations cannot be turned off while the Aplos integration is connected).
Important: If you do not select a Default Purpose in Aplos, the integration will not work. The Default Purpose is a fallback option used when a Raisely Designation is not mapped.
Note: In the initial release, multi-currency campaigns are not supported; amounts displayed in Aplos will be represented in your Raisely organisation currency.
Understanding the Integration
Alright, I've set up the integration, and now it's activated. Now what happens?
Raisely will send over all online transactional data to your Aplos account. The transactional data includes one off donations, regular donations and ticket orders. Donations or ticket orders created manually in the admin are not sent to Aplos, and neither are matched donations.
Free tickets (no payment record) and tickets with a 100% discount (no payment record) do not sync.
The transactions are sent across to Aplos as contributions, mapping to the purpose and accounts.
- The amount is the donation amount + Raisely & provider fees - represented in your Raisely organisation currency (Initial release limitation; multi-currency campaigns not supported).
- The NTD amount is any non-taxable amount (e.g. tickets) - represented in your Raisely organisation currency.
- The expense amount includes both Raisely & provider fees - represented in your Raisely organisation currency.
If the donor is not known in Aplos, a contact is also created to attribute the contribution to.
