What is the Raisely Claude plug-in?
The Raisely Claude plug-in (currently in beta) connects your Raisely account to Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant. Once connected, you can ask questions about your fundraising data in plain English and build or edit campaign pages through conversation — no clicking through the admin for every change.
It works in both Claude Desktop (Code or Cowork mode) and Claude Code (terminal).
What you can do with it
- Ask questions about your fundraising data — e.g. "Who are our top 10 donors this year?", "How is this appeal performing compared to last year?", "Which campaigns are underperforming?"
- Build campaign pages from a brief — describe the campaign you want in plain text and Claude sets up the structure for you. Great for teams spinning up multiple campaigns quickly.
- Extract branding from an existing page — give Claude any campaign URL and it can pull your logo, colours, and imagery into a library of reusable, branded assets.
- Create custom components — advanced CSS or JavaScript elements like custom progress bars, leaderboards, or tracking animations, generated and applied directly.
- Edit existing campaigns conversationally — securely push and pull page edits from Claude without navigating the admin dashboard for every minor change.
Is this right for your team?
The plug-in is best suited for teams with technical resources, developer support, or a strong willingness to learn AI-assisted tools. You don't need to be a developer, but you should be comfortable learning, testing outputs, and troubleshooting independently.
A good fit if you:
- Use (or are willing to learn) Claude responsibly
- Manage a high volume of campaigns
- Want highly customised components beyond standard theme settings
- Use GitHub for version control (strongly recommended as your safety net)
Stick with the Raisely Admin if you:
- Prefer a visual, drag-and-drop, no-code environment
- Expect a fully finished campaign from a single prompt (some finishing touches — image uploads, banners, final donation settings — still happen in the Admin)
- Don't use GitHub and aren't comfortable troubleshooting on your own
The standard Raisely Admin remains the most powerful, straightforward, and reliable way to launch campaigns — the plug-in is a speed boost for the right teams, not a replacement.
Before you start
- A Raisely account with an email + password login. Our secure sign-in flow doesn't support Google SSO — if you've only ever logged in with Google, use the forgot password flow.
- A Claude account (Claude Desktop or Claude Code).
- A GitHub account is recommended if you plan to edit and publish pages — it's your safety net if a change needs to be rolled back.
How to get started
https://github.com/raisely/claude-plugin — the steps below walk you through it.Option 1: Claude Desktop
- Open Code or Cowork mode and click Customize.
- Click Personal plugin + → Create plugin → Add marketplace.
- Manually enter the marketplace URL
https://github.com/raisely/claude-pluginand click Use "raisely/claude-plugin", then click Sync. - In the Plugin Directory, click the + icon to add the Raisely plugin.
- Click the gear icon to set up the plugin, go to Connectors, and click Connect next to the Raisely connector.
- A browser window will open — sign in to Raisely, review the requested permissions, and approve access.
Option 2: Claude Code (terminal)
- Run
/plugin. - Navigate to Marketplaces → + Add Marketplace and manually enter the URL
https://github.com/raisely/claude-plugin(you won't find Raisely by browsing — the marketplace must be added with this URL). - Select raisely and hit Enter to install. If you're not sure which scope to choose, Install for you (user scope) is a good option.
- Restart Claude Code, then sign in to Raisely when prompted.
Verify it's working
Ask Claude something that needs your Raisely data, like "Can you list my Raisely campaigns?" If it returns your campaigns, you're connected. 🎉
Troubleshooting
- Sign-in window doesn't open — check your popup blocker, click Connect again, or restart Claude and retry.
- Shows as disconnected after signing in — restart Claude and reconnect. Sign-in tokens expire after a period of no use, so you may occasionally need to reauthenticate.
- Can't sign in with Google — the connection requires an email + password Raisely login. Contact us to get a password set on your account.
Security notes
- Access is granted via secure OAuth sign-in and matches your existing Raisely permissions — Claude can only see and do what your Raisely account can.
- Treat the connection like being signed in to Raisely in a browser.
